While this role is remote, the ideal candidate will be based in the DACH region. 

 

Absolute Security is looking for a Sales Engineer (SE) to provide technical sales support as a solution expert within our fast-growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) business in the EMEA region. The SE is a highly technical sales professional who is responsible for working with Account Executives (AEs), Channel Account Managers (CAMs), and Business Development Managers (BDRs) to drive significant revenue growth within the region.

 

The SE plays a critical role in driving the technical sales process and enabling the success of our MSP ecosystem across the EMEA region. You will support both pre-sales engagements and partner enablement initiatives, helping MSPs onboard, deploy, and operationalize Absolute Security’s Secure Endpoint and Secure Access solutions within their managed offerings. As a technical evangelist for the Absolute platform, you represent the company in front of customers, partners, and at industry events—demonstrating our unique ability to deliver visibility, control, and resilience across complex environments. 

 

You are adept at performing detailed technical discovery that uncovers the customer or partner’s current environment, identifies business risks and desired outcomes, and positions Absolute’s solutions to deliver measurable value. You can design and execute Proof of Value (PoV) engagements, tailor technical demonstrations, and help our partners validate and scale their managed service offerings. 

 

In addition to customer-facing sales activities, you will collaborate with the CAM and the Partner Enablement team to lead MSP onboarding, technical training, and certification efforts—ensuring new partners are fully enabled to deliver Absolute-powered services to their end customers. 

 

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing technical depth with business impact, and can work independently while aligning closely with AEs, CAMs, and Partner Success teams. 

 

What You’ll Do 
  • Partner with MSP leaders to define and execute a technical go-to-market plan for the MSP business in EMEA
  • Lead partner enablement and onboarding sessions, including installation workshops, best-practice configuration, and use-case enablement for Secure Endpoint and Secure Access
  • Deliver tailored technical sales presentations and demonstrations that articulate business value to both partners and their customers
  • Plan and execute PoV engagements, including scoping, environment design, installation, configuration, testing, and success measurement
  • Develop technical enablement assets (demo scripts, deployment templates, best-practice guides) to accelerate partner readiness and consistency
  • Provide ongoing technical mentorship for new MSP partners, supporting their first customer deployments and early operational success
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Partner Enablement teams to provide feedback from the field and contribute to continuous improvement of the MSP technical experience 
  • Support regional events and partner training sessions, representing Absolute as a trusted advisor in the MSP and cybersecurity ecosystem
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, competitive positioning, and regulatory trends relevant to MSPs and enterprise cybersecurity
  • Protect the security and privacy of Absolute and its customers 

 

What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in sales engineering or solution architecture, ideally in cybersecurity, endpoint management, or secure access technologies
  • Strong technical background in security, networking, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience working with or within MSPs, with a clear understanding of service delivery models and recurring revenue motions. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing both technical and business audiences
  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment across sales, channel, and technical functions. 
  • Proficiency in English; additional European languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish) are a strong advantage
  • Understanding of AV, EDR, Incident Response, Forensics, or other endpoint or network security tools 
  • Familiar with popular firewall vendors and basic rule design 
  • Familiar with endpoint security and patch management policies 
  • Strong understanding of Windows (Desktop and Server), macOS, and Linux operating systems, including network stacks 
  • Can troubleshoot complex network environments to support evaluations on customers’ premises or with the Absolute cloud hosted products 
  • Experience with complex technical sales cycles, including deep discovery as well as scoping, executing, and presenting complex PoVs (evaluations) 
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to all levels of people, from IT, Network and Security managers to Line of Business owners to CIO and CISOs 
  • Understanding of data-in-transit security, including TLS, IPsec, VPNs, PKI, and certificate management 
  • Understanding of network services and systems including routing and local and wide area network design Familiar with popular firewall vendors and basic rule design 
  • Understanding of authentication methods and protocols including SAML and RADIUS 

 

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with selling methodologies such as Command of the Message and MEDDPICC 
  • Experience selling SASE, SSE, VPN, EDR, Incident Response or other endpoint or network security tools 
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash 
  • Experience with Cloud IaaS vendors including networking and security service operation 
  • Security (CISSP, GIAC, CompTIA Security+, etc.) or networking (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.) certifications 
  • Experience in IT or Security operations
